Who We Are

This website (alta-bar.be) is operated by Alta Bar & Osteria, part of BV Corbacio, Maastrichterstraat 60, 3500 Hasselt, Belgium (VAT BE 0832.420.841). We respect your privacy and handle your data in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What We Collect

Our website is informative and does not require you to create an account. We only collect anonymous, aggregated usage data through Google Analytics 4, and only after you have given your consent. This may include:

  • Pages visited and time spent on the site
  • Approximate location (country / region), based on a truncated IP address
  • Device and browser type
  • The source you arrived from (for example, a link from La Fontanella)

This data is aggregated and is not used to identify you personally.

Cookies

We use two types of storage:

  • Strictly necessary — a small entry we store in your browser to remember your cookie choice. This is always active and requires no consent.
  • Analytics (optional) — cookies placed by Google Analytics (such as _ga and _ga_…) to measure website usage. These are only placed after you click “Accept”. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set.

Until you accept, analytics is disabled by default through Google Consent Mode.

Legal Basis & Retention

The legal basis for analytics is your consent (Art. 6.1.a GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time. Aggregated analytics data is retained by Google for a limited period in line with Google Analytics settings, after which it is automatically deleted.

Sharing With Third Parties

Analytics data is processed by Google as our processor. We do not sell your data. See Google’s Privacy Policy for details on how they handle data.
